Is Jay Z selling his stake in the Nets to Jason Kidd?

Jay Z may be unloading his stake in the Brooklyn Nets to Jason Kidd.

The "New York Post" says the hip-hop mogul may have found a partial buyer for his minority interest in the team in Kidd, who became the Nets' head coach in June.

Jay must give up his stake in the Nets now that he's officially a licensed sports agent.  But Kidd's partial acquisition of the team is okay by league rules, which allows coaches, but not players, to own stakes in the team.

According to the "Post," it was Kidd who initially suggested that Jay Z buy a share of the Nets back in 2003 when Kidd was still playing point guard for the team in New Jersey.

Kidd landed the head coaching gig just days after retiring as a player for the New York Knicks in June.
